What an amazing year. I think it’s safe to say that I set my goals a little too low. I had no idea that this Blogging adventure would take off so well. This is my final report on Making Mommy Money for the year of 2016. It reflects the whole year and how I got here. You can scroll to the bottom and see what I did every month. This month I’m reflecting on where I am and more importantly how I got here, then using that information and the experience to guide me into 2017.
If you’re just joining in on this monthly income report series, my goal for 2016 is to expand this blog into a financial contributor so that I can stay home more and learn with my Hooligans.
I write 2 blogs, this mom blog {You’re here! Thanks!} and another blog for my career as a Wedding & Event Coordinator, which you can find HERE. This report is a combination of the two blogs. Truth be told, it IS wedding season right now, so I am busy with my in-person clients {really busy} so blogging is taking a backseat for the next few months. I’m actually heading out the door for a rehearsal right now! #ALLSummerFridays

The punch line for the year is to:
Build the Internet into a bigger financial contributor
December enters…
Looking Forward
Oh boy, where to begin? As I get ready to dive into 2017 I have so much in my head but not really a sure plan on where to start. I am so thankful for all the unexpected success, both from the blogging community and on Etsy. As you’ll see, most of my income this year came from Etsy sales, which are marketed from the blogs. I also have a huge overall income from Tradesy which is also a big factor over at the Wedding Blog, Green-Eyed Girl Productions.
Sales Goals
Tradesy: December Report: $107.28 This is where I sell my wedding supplies. But I still have it down since I have yet to reconfigure the inventory I have left after the Wedding Resale Event at the Launch Party last month :/ You can sell your clothing and maternity clothes too. Not to mention buy pre-loved items at great costs! Join and start selling your stuff too.

Etsy: The Vintage Event– December Report: $534.30 I sell my vintage and digital downloads here. LOTS of the EBooks sold here!
Etsy: Cotton N Kandi– December Report: $338.30 This is the Brand for the Mom Blog where I sell my homeschool ideas, downloads and crochet. We’re slowly creeping into the holiday season which is awesome for me since I mostly make baby hats!

A Cotton Kandi Life: Income Report
As stated in my original post I believe in order to accomplish a larger blog income I must continually work at increasing my Internet presence and “impact” which is calculated by the Klout App. Klout measures your internet REACH and how many people you’re influencing.
My current Klout Stats:
