This is going to be a quick addition to my existing Balloon Garland Tutorial, with a Spaceship twist. For the full details on a basic Balloon Garland and what I use, visit THIS POST from Cash’s Safari Party. The first party where I made one, and haven’t looked back since because they’re so easy!
Rocket Balloon Garland
The main difference with this garland is that it’s really 2 scenes: A Rocket blasting off and Outer Space. You have to measure out where one scene is going to stop and the other will begin. If you’re using the Balloon Garland Tape I recommend in my Blog Posts it is 16 foot with 110 Balloon hole, tape. When we measure we do a 5′ top scene across the top. My tables are always a 6′ Banquet so that works out best for us.
We always practice our structure a few days before the party {my ever-so-helpful husband assistant} to make sure our hooks are in the correct place. Sometime we have to take out or add in balloons to make sure it hangs just right.
Rocket Blast Balloons
Using a funnel and my trusty Balloon Pump {don’t plan a party without it!} I filled clear balloons with paper sprinkles to look like exhaust or flames. I used Grey and Slate Sprinkles for the ash exhaust and Yellow with orange for the flames. You can buy these by the cup in the Etsy Store. I offer 50 colors.
Then fill your balloons in a variation of sizes, going from smallest to largest. The largest balloons were at the bottom with the ash/exhaust colored sprinkles.
