Accio Toads and find them all for this clue of the Harry Potter Escape Room style Who Done It Mystery Birthday Party.
For Cash’s 10th (9 3/4) Birthday, he challenged me to create an entire Escape Room themed around Harry Potter. AND IT WAS A JOY but took me months to get right! I’m going to walk you through this whole party, clue by clue, and maybe your little wizards will want to dive into this Party with Wands-a-blazing. This post covers one clue of the ten we did.

Accio Toads | Find the All
This clue worked well into the timing of the Escape Room. I’ll be honest, by Clue 7, the kids were hot and tied. Unfortunately, on Cash’s birthday, the weather decided to be triple digits. But despite the heat and balloons spontaneously popping in it, the kids were great sports. (Leading into that Quidditch Game later! Sneak Peek: How to Play Quidditch with Kids) Since the Toads were hidden all over our property, AND they just so happened to be little bath toys, we turned on the sprinklers while the Wizards searched the Grounds.
Clue 7 – Directions:
- You will need at least 10 frog/Toad toys.
- Cut apart the 10 Code Letters and affix them to the bottoms of the frogs/Toads.
- Hide the frog/toads all over your playing area near things that are read.
- Cut/Frame the 4″x6″ Directions for players/kids/wizards.
How to Pass this Clue:
- Players will collect all the frogs/toads and unscramble the coded letters.
- Reads: “Not Neville”. eliminate Neville.
- Move on to Clue 8
