Like most, we like celebrating the season with an Awards Party or End of Season Celebration. I love these Popcorn Buckets we used for our awards plus a few added snacks.

If you’re looking for an alternative to the medals or trophies this year, consider a “Your Biggest Fan” style Popcorn Bucket.
Popcorn Bucket Awards
You can buy these microwave popcorn buckets in bulk on Amazon, or you can find them for about $3 each at Walmart. After buying enough for your whole team, you then stuff them with fun-themed trinkets. I’ve compiled an Amazon List for these buckets that included some Basketball Bubblegum, Sneaker Balls, a Swoosh Shoe Bag, and a Team Picture.
The Popcorn Buckets served as the actual award our coaches handed to each player after they stood up and gave a little speech for each one, highlighting the player’s strengths from the season. I made these Name Flag Pennants for each bucket. You can order your own in my Etsy Shop

Basketball Part Snacks
In addition to the Popcorn Bucket, we had a few other fun, End of Season Basketball Awards Ideas and Basketball-themed Snacks. I took a Sharpie to these peach snacks and drew basketball lines. We also leaned into the orange theme buying Goldfish crackers.
This next piece was a fun DIY project and totally worth it for the pictures. I took some white coffee cups, they’re smaller than other paper cups and drew lines on them to look like a Basketball net. I then cut these Basketball Backboard Die Cut Shapes in my Etsy Shop. The tricky part was aligning these cut slits so that they would stick up on the cup rim. Hopefully, my trial and error attempts will save you the trouble! You can buy your own, all white, but choose the square, in my Etsy Shop:

Fill them with the not-so-healthy (but crowd favorite for 6-8-year-old boys) cheese puffs and they look like mini basketballs!
These next details were way easier but also way worth it: Foam Finger Cupcake Toppers! I was able to draw these in my Cricut and cut them on Glitter Paper. They’re in my Etsy Shop too, available in 45+ Colors. Dip your cupcakes in these little sprinkles and it looks like a crowd of cheering fans.
