10 Reasons to visit Greens Bridge Gardens with Toddlers

We have been going to Greens Bridge for their Pumpkin Patch nearly every October since Cash entered preschool at 3 years old, in 2018. We missed a few years because we tried a few other pumpkin patches, but there have also been years where we came back 3 different times in the same season. Mainly because it’s so close to us, but here are all the other amazing reasons:

1. A Day at Greens Bridge Gardens

Let’s start with how to get there! Greens Bridge Gardens is tucked away at 3730 Jefferson Scio Dr SE, Jefferson, OR 97352, and you can give them a ring at (541) 327-2995. This little treasure is great for families with young kids, mixing the beauty of nature with some farm fun. Believe me, once you get there, the bright colors and friendly vibe will charm both you and your kids.

2. Field Trips with Preschool Pals

One of the coolest things about Greens Bridge Gardens is going on field trips. We took Cash and Wyatt with their preschool buddies, and let me tell you, watching their faces light up as they ran around with friends was amazing. The gardens are a perfect spot for hanging out and making memories. Plus, it’s a great way for kids to learn how to play and get along with each other in a fun place.

3. The Produce Tent Extravaganza

Picture a tent packed with the brightest veggies you’ve ever seen—it’s a treat for the eyes and lots of fun for little hands to explore. The produce tent at Greens Bridge Gardens is one of my boys’ favorite places. We spent quite a bit of time just touching, smelling, and even tasting some fresh goodies. It’s a great way to get kids interested in healthy foods while having fun. And honestly, who doesn’t love a good veggie rainbow?

4. Giant Hay Slides & Mazes

Next up, the big hay slides! If you’ve never seen a toddler’s face light up with pure happiness, just set them at the top of a hay slide. Cash and Wyatt, along with their friends, couldn’t get enough of climbing up and sliding down. The hay mazes are just as exciting, giving a little adventure that gets kids curious and thinking.

5. The Corn Maze Challenge

When it comes to mazes, you’ve got to try the corn maze. It feels like you’re walking into a real-life adventure story. My kids had a blast leading the way, pretending they were on a big quest. It’s a great way to help them learn independence and thinking skills, even when they’re little. Plus, let’s be honest, finding your way through a corn maze with toddlers is just as much an adventure for the parents as it is for the kids!

6. Tractor Rides to the Pumpkin Patches

What’s a trip to a garden without a tractor ride? Cash, Wyatt, and their friends loved the bumpy ride to the pumpkin patches. It’s a fun way to learn about farming and nature. Plus, picking their own pumpkin is a memory they’ll always remember.

7. Apple Cider Slushies Treat

Let’s talk about something sweet—apple cider slushies! Picture a hot day, some dust in the air, and a cold, sweet slushie in your hand. It’s the perfect way to cool off and get some energy for more adventures. Kids love them because they’re tasty and refreshing. Just be ready for a bit of sticky sweetness!

8. Rolling Tubes & Hamster Wheels for Kids

Ever seen a kid in a giant hamster wheel? It’s hysterical! Cash and Wyatt couldn’t stop giggling as they rolled around in these oversized wheels. It’s a great way for kids to burn off energy and develop their gross motor skills. Plus, it’s a workout for us parents too, trying to keep up with them!

9. Painted Haybales: Art and Adventure

The haybales with cool paintings all over the pumpkin patch are like little art pieces just waiting to be found. My kids loved the bright colors and taking pictures with them. It’s an easy but fun way to get kids into art and being creative. Each bale has its own story, sparking imagination and storytelling.

10. The Ducky Race Water Pumps

Last but definitely not least, the Ducky Race water pumps. Armed with rubber duckies and ready to race, Cash and Wyatt couldn’t get enough of this water play. It’s a fantastic activity for teaching kids about cause and effect while also enjoying some friendly competition. Plus, it’s a splash-tastic way to cool off!
