The excitement surrounding our “Gotta Catch ’em All” Punch Board set the perfect tone for the activities ahead. Each cup contained a surprise sticker, which participants proudly added to their scorecard, marking the beginning of their training adventure.
How to Make Your Pokeball Punch Board
Making this Punch Board is a breeze!
- Start with a foam board from Dollar Tree and the quintessential party accessory: Red Solo Cups.
- Arrange the cups in a circle on your board, ensuring they are spaced accurately to resemble a Pokéball.
- You will need three colors of tissue paper – red, white, and black – which you can also find at Dollar Tree.
This is where it gets a bit tricky: you need enough tissue paper to cover each cup while also being held in place by a rubber band. Make sure it’s tight enough to withstand a punch without just being pushed through.
Instructions
- Fill the cups with Pokémon stickers, ensuring they fit within the designated square on the scorecard and aren’t too large.

- Cover the cups with tissue paper and secure them using rubber bands before gluing them to the board.
Another challenging step: maintain symmetry! Use enough glue so the cups stay in place during the game. Keep in mind that one enthusiastic kid can easily knock off three cups with a strong punch. It might be wise to give a quick lesson on how gently to punch and place the bigger kids at the end of the line to avoid a complete cup collapse in one go.
Finally, cut out some creative letters to add a charming touch! Enjoy the process!
