Tye Dye Tyme when you’re turning NINE! Cash’s 9^th Tye Dye Birthday Party was anything but slow despite all of the Sloths… He is a guy who loves a good vibe and Tye Dye was the way to go this year. Of course, we did our own shirts, but we also went through a luau obstacle course that included a tye-dye-themed candy bar! Follow along through the party posts:

How to Throw a Tye Dye Birthday Party

As with every birthday party we throw, we make sure that it heavily revolves around our boys’ favorite things. We try to capture his personality the best we can. It’s truly all about him and his favorite things, or the things he loved most for this trip around the sun. Cash loves all things that are the color yellow, Sloths and Tye Dye. So we made sure to bring all of those elements together in this Luau-inspired party.

Of Course, the Main Event was getting to tye dye all their own shirts. I made a digital download for instruction and taped them on bags for everyone. More on that in the Games and Activities post.

The other major revert was the Color Run, or battle as it turned out to be. The shirts they got to dye, were also their battle uniforms. Pineapples were a main fixture throughout the party, everywhere from these Pineapple Frond Cupcake Toppers to my “neighborhood” famous Blueberry & Pineapple Salsa.

We couldn’t have a luau without a Tiki Bar! Our beloved Ice Cream Shop transformed into a Lava Bar for the Italian Soda mixing as well as the rainbow-themed candy Buffet with all of Cash’s favorites.
