Wyatt turning 9 was a BLAST! We celebrated him with a Happy NERF Day-themed party this year and oh, how the darts flew! Everyone was a trooper as this party did happen in the rain… We’ve been so lucky these last 8 years with the January weather, it was time for a wet and wild day.

NERF Birthday Party Food
I kept the food for this party very simple. There was only had one thing I really wanted to do and that was these Dart Cake Pops. I bought THESE PUSH POPS off of Amazon and made Blue Velvet Cake. The key was then to top them off with orange icing for the dart look.
Nerf-Inspired Treat Bags
I needed another level prize, so we put together these blue and orange treat bags. They were filled with Goldfish Crackers and Fruit Snacks. A Blue Spiral “dart” sucker then tied it all together.
Dart Themed Cake
I also went very simple with the cake. I’m getting more and more discouraged with how expensive the custom store-bought cakes are, for what seems to be less quality. So, I’m starting to buy off-the-shelf cakes and just customize them myself. These two cakes only cost me $20 for both. Where as for Cash’s last party these cakes cost me $65… I added darts, as you can see, and it worked out perfectly.
For Wyatt’s cake, I used alternating cake pop sticks to make darts spray out the back behind his Custom Cake Topper from my Etsy Shop.

Custom Bottle Labels
I always make a drink for one of our levels because the kids always need it by halfway through the games or obstacle courses we do. Blue Gatorades with these orange caps were the obvious choice for this party! Another key detail I always do is make name labels for our parties. This ensures everyone gets one and I know who left theirs laying around!
