This party is truly one of my all-time favorites! We aim to get the kids moving with various training stations that test their Pokémon skills. As they arrive, each kid gets a personalized Pokémon Trainer Name and Scorecard, making them feel like part of a special team. Cash 8th Birthday- How to Throw a Pokémon Training Party
The excitement peaks with our “Gotta Catch ’em All” Punch Board, a fantastic start to the activities. Watching the kids punch through cups to discover which Pokémon they’ll train is a delight. Each sticker they earn is proudly added to their scorecard, marking the beginning of their training journey.
Pokémon Party Ideas
We set up five Training Tables, each dedicated to a different Pokémon type: Water, Fire, Psychic, Electric, and Grass. Every child can join in and have a blast. At the Water Table, kids use squirt guns to hit targets of the notorious Team Rocket, Jesse and James. The Fire Table has them knocking down towers with yarn balls, while at the Electric Table, they connect circuits.
The Psychic Table lets kids make origami fortune tellers, diving into the mystical world of psychic Pokémon. At the Grass Table, kids plant mini succulents in Pokéballs to take home—a keepsake of their day as Pokémon trainers.
The highlight is the big finale: a water battle in the gigantic “Trainer Gym Water Castle.” Watching the kids slide into the pool is a blast. The sound of laughter and splashes fills the air with sheer joy.

As the day wraps up, we gather everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” and savor snacks inspired by Pokémon. With Jigglypuff-themed Cotton Candy Bags, Charizard Pizza Pockets, and Caterpie Fruit Chow, the kids fill up and share stories of their adventures.
