Swagbucks is on my list of Best-Kept Internet Secrets when it comes to scoring free rewards and cash back or gift cards. I have been a Swagbucks member since 2010 if you can believe it. But I didn’t really utilize it enough until it came time to start planning our first trip to Disneyland. I’m filing it under Mommy Money though because it is a great way to score extra cash rewards even if you’re not planning a vacation!
How I use Swagbucks to Earn FREE Disneyland Tickets
If you’re finding this post straight from Pinterest you might want to pop over to my first Disneyland post on Free Admission Tickets. Or even go back one post to my 2 MORE Ways to Earn Free Disneyland Tickets post. This post is an extension of that last one and gets deeper into using Swagbucks for Disneyland Tickets
What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is another Internet app or service that offers you cash back rewards, known as “bucks” that you earn on purchases you’re making anyway. You probably know of other services like this already including Ebates or Honey They’re extensions of your Chrome Browser that alert you of automatic coupons or discount codes. You can cash out of these apps for cash back into your bank account or a variety of other rewards. Swagbucks, however, lets you redeem bucks for Gift Cards!
How to Earn Swagbucks
I loved Swagbucks immediately because you could earn bucks by doing more than just shopping online. In fact, you don’t have to buy anything to earn bucks. You can take surveys! Back in 2010, I would be sitting in my GEG Office and on slow days I would crank through a few surveys, earning me Swagbucks. Swagbucks equal 1 Buck to 1 penny. So 200 SB = $2 on the Internet. This sounds pretty good to a 20-something on her lunch break who can make $2 in 5 minutes! You can see in the image below, in Pink Arrow #1 that I currently have 3,000 SB that I can use or continue to build up.
Buying Gift Cards
Fast forward to present time and I don’t have as much time as I used to for survey taking. But I can still answer the daily 10 questions for $1. That only takes about 5-minutes. A better way that I can earn Swagbucks nowadays is by buying gift cards to my favorite stores. See the above image and Pink Arrow #2. I’m going to go to these stores anyway, so I may as well earn extra cash back {bucks} for it right?!
Bonus: You can earn an extra 100 SB for buying the promoted Gift Cards of the month. I buy Gift Cards to restaurants we go to often like Olive Garden and Panera Bread.
Redeeming Coupons
Another way that I’m earning Swagbucks in my 30’s is coupon redeeming. Through Swagbucks, you can “clip” and print coupons. When you use them in the stores, those magical interwebs trace them back to your account and you earn a Swagbuck or two!
Here is me in real life redeeming my purchased Panera Gift Card and my Swagbucks Coupons. Both of which helped me earn my Free Disneyland Tickets!
Final Thoughts
Utilizing Swagbucks is a great way to earn a lot of awesome free stuff, including Disneyland Tickets. But, it is tedious. It takes a long time to accumulate enough SB for those precious Disneyland Park Passes. If you have the time, and the patience though, this is a fantastic way to go. I will also earn 300 SB for every person I refer, and so will you will get 500 if you start today! SO that helps. Register for Swagbucks and start earning SB towards you Disney Vacation or any other great reward you wish!
