Getting There: The Start of Our Adventure

Before we jump into the fun, let’s talk logistics. The Trees of Mystery is located at 15500 US-101, Klamath, CA 95548, just 36 miles south of the Oregon border. It’s a perfect stop if you’re cruising down the stunning Pacific Coast Highway. Whether you’re a local or road-tripping from afar, this spot is a must-see for families looking to blend education with entertainment. Only 36 miles south of the Oregon border and 360 miles north of San Francisco on US Highway 101. From Grants Pass, Oregon and Interstate 5 it is 126 miles to Klamath, California via Highway 199. We are located right on the highway (101) and the statues of Paul and Babe make us impossible to miss.

Our first stop is a selfie with the legendary duo, Paul Bunyan and his trusty blue ox, Babe. These towering statues greet you right out front, and trust me, they’re hard to miss. Cash and Wyatt love waving at Paul, who occasionally waves back (or so they claim!). Kids adore the larger-than-life figures, which make for a perfect photo-op to kick off your day.
